About Brand Agency Index
Choosing a branding agency usually starts with a search that returns hundreds of names and very little help. Every agency says it’s strategic, creative and collaborative. What buyers actually need to know is narrower: who has done this kind of work, in this industry, at this scale, and who isn’t a good fit.
Brand Agency Index is a catalog of branding agencies organized around those questions. You can browse by industry, from fintech and healthcare to hospitality and professional services, or by need, from logo design and brand architecture to employer branding and sonic identity.
What you’ll find on each guide
Every guide is built the same way, so you can compare agencies quickly:
- A quick list of the agencies on the page, what each is known for and who it suits best.
- A card for each agency with its website, location, the industries and needs it covers, a signature project, how it works, a budget signal and a “Skip if” line that tells you when to look elsewhere.
- Practical guidance on what that type of branding has to handle, what to prepare before you brief an agency, and answers to common questions.
How we choose agencies
An agency earns a place in a guide when it has real, visible work in that area. We look for:
- Relevant projects. Named work for clients in the industry or for the type of project the guide covers, not just a claim on a services page.
- A real studio. A working website, a portfolio, and people behind the work.
- A clear fit. Each agency is placed where its strengths are strongest. The same agency can appear in several guides, but each entry describes different work.
- Range. Each guide includes agencies of different sizes and budgets, from studios that work with startups to firms built for global companies.
How we check the details
Facts on Brand Agency Index come from the agencies’ own websites and published case studies, supported by industry press where needed. Every agency card shows the year it was last checked. When an agency closes, changes focus or stops doing the kind of work a guide covers, we update or remove it.
We don’t publish exact prices on agency cards, because project costs vary too much with scope. Instead, each card gives a budget signal, from flexible startup budgets to enterprise programs, so you can rule agencies in or out quickly.
Suggest an agency or a correction
If you run a branding agency with strong work in one of our categories, or you’ve spotted something out of date, we’d like to hear from you. Use the contact page and include links to the relevant work. We review every suggestion, but we only add agencies whose work fits a guide.
