The best branding agencies in Seattle

Seattle is home to some of the biggest companies in the world, but its branding studios are mostly small, senior and close to the city. They brand parks, neighborhoods, landscape firms, natural food companies and local shops, often with a focus on purpose. These five are based in Seattle and have identity work you can check.

Fulcrum Foundation brand identity and website

Turnstyle has been designing brands in Seattle since 2004, and it treats strategy, identity, digital and print as one job. Fora Landscape Architects naming and identity

When Seattle’s Weisman Design Group was approaching its 40th year, People People gave it a new name, Fora Landscape Architects (Latin for “what is out of doors”), with a new identity, signage and website to match. The studio, founded by Sara Green, also named and branded Smål Market, a Scandinavian-inspired shop in Ballard, and set the direction for its interior. Seattle
Signature project
Friends of Waterfront Park identity

When the nonprofit partner of Seattle’s newly revitalized 20-acre Waterfront Park needed a brand, Studio Matthews built it from the park itself: a logo drawn from the angular forms of the piers and a shape system for features like the boardwalk and beach. Founding principal Kristine Matthews and her team have also branded the Seattle Symphony and designed heritage displays for Pike Place Market. The studio’s strength is identities that work in public spaces.
